What Can I Expect From My Neuro Physio?

We will start by taking a comprehensive history of your condition and talk through any difficulties you are having. We will need to know about your medical history and any medication you are taking. It is important that we get a true picture of what your condition means to you and its impact on your day-to-day life.

We will carry out a physical examination to analyse your movement and establish what works well and what doesn’t work so well. You will need to undress so you might like to wear shorts and a vest.

We will talk to you about what you would like to achieve and we will work together to set realistic goals and expectations of your physiotherapy treatment. We may use measures to establish a baseline and to monitor progress. All treatment is individually tailored to you and your personal goals.

Neurological physiotherapy treatment is very hands-on and is likely to be physically and at times mentally challenging. We will continually assess and modify treatment to make sure it is effective and sufficiently challenging.

You will be treated in the clinic in Kings Sutton or your own home. We offer home visits in North Oxfordshire, South Warwickshire and South Northamptonshire.

We can also meet you at your gym or local swimming pool to work on exercise, or if your goals are around outdoors we with work with you outdoors.
